About the Book Cracker Jackson

Living in a small town, Cracker is an ordinary kid with a big heart and a curious mind. His life takes an unexpected turn when he learns that his childhood friend, Alma, is in serious trouble.

Cracker discovers that Alma is dealing with issues far beyond what a young girl should face. Her abusive husband, Billy Ray, has not only isolated her from friends and family but also physically harmed her. Cracker, despite his young age, feels an overwhelming sense of responsibility to help Alma escape her dire situation.

Determined to save Alma, Cracker devises a daring plan. He seeks advice from adults he trusts, including his grandfather and his school principal. Throughout his quest, Cracker learns about the complexities of domestic abuse and the importance of seeking help from trusted adults. With courage and determination, he rallies the support of his friends and family to rescue Alma from her abusive marriage.

This Page Is Under Construction

It takes a long time to gather all the data for our new book page format with more useful descriptions, themes, and activity ideas. Meanwhile, this page is active so you can order books; it just isn't quite as informative or graphically appealing as the new page will be. Thanks for understanding! :-)
