The story begins with siblings Jack and Annie discovering a mysterious tree house in the woods near their home. This seemingly ordinary tree house is filled with books that transport them to different times and places. The adventure starts when Jack picks up a book about dinosaurs, and before they know it, they are whisked away to the prehistoric past.
Upon arriving, Jack and Annie encounter a variety of dinosaurs, from the gentle Triceratops to the fearsome Tyrannosaurus Rex. Their awe and curiosity drive them to explore this ancient world, leading to several thrilling and educational encounters. Jack, being the logical and cautious one, takes notes and tries to learn as much as he can, while Annie's adventurous spirit pushes them onward.
Their adventure takes a turn when they realize they need to find a way back home before dark. As the sun sets, the dangers of the prehistoric world become more apparent. With quick thinking and teamwork, Jack and Annie manage to return to the tree house and figure out how to travel back to their own time, bringing their first magical adventure to a close.
