About the Book Downriver

Jessie is sent to an outdoor education program for at-risk youth. Along with six other teens, Jessie is supposed to learn responsibility and teamwork while navigating the Colorado River. However, the group quickly decides to go rogue, stealing their instructor's gear and embarking on the river trip without supervision.

The adventure soon turns into a struggle for survival. Navigating dangerous rapids, dealing with limited supplies, and facing interpersonal conflicts, each member of the group must confront their fears and insecurities.

The vividly described settings and heart-stopping action sequences make Downriver a page-turner. Hobbs' detailed narrative brings the Colorado River and its surrounding wilderness to life, making readers feel as if they are right there with the characters.

This Page Is Under Construction

It takes a long time to gather all the data for our new book page format with more useful descriptions, themes, and activity ideas. Meanwhile, this page is active so you can order books; it just isn't quite as informative or graphically appealing as the new page will be. Thanks for understanding! :-)
