About the Book Flat Stanley

Flat Stanley starts with an everyday scene familiar to many children. Stanley Lambchop, the protagonist, is an ordinary boy with an extraordinary fate. One night, while he's asleep, a large bulletin board falls on him, flattening him completely. Despite his new shape, Stanley is unharmed and can still move and speak normally.

Stanley's newfound flatness brings a series of entertaining adventures. He discovers he can slide under doors, be mailed in an envelope to distant places, and even help his brother Arthur retrieve a ring from a sidewalk grate. These adventures show Stanley's ingenuity and courage, making his flatness seem more like a superpower than a problem.

Throughout the book, Stanley meets various characters who react differently to his condition. Some are amazed, others skeptical, and a few are frightened. His interactions highlight themes of acceptance and understanding, teaching young readers valuable lessons about empathy and kindness.

This Page Is Under Construction

It takes a long time to gather all the data for our new book page format with more useful descriptions, themes, and activity ideas. Meanwhile, this page is active so you can order books; it just isn't quite as informative or graphically appealing as the new page will be. Thanks for understanding! :-)
