About the Book George Washington's Socks

Five children—Matt, Katie, Hooter, Tony, and Q—magically travel back in time to the American Revolutionary War. The story begins during a sleepover adventure when the group stumbles upon a magical rowboat that transports them from their camping trip in the present day to the banks of the Delaware River in 1776.

Once in the past, they encounter General George Washington himself, just as he is preparing to cross the Delaware River for a surprise attack against the Hessian troops in Trenton. Throughout their adventure, the children witness the harsh realities of war, meet historical figures, and face numerous challenges that test their courage and resourcefulness. As they navigate this dangerous and unfamiliar world, they must find a way back to their own time before it's too late.

This Page Is Under Construction

It takes a long time to gather all the data for our new book page format with more useful descriptions, themes, and activity ideas. Meanwhile, this page is active so you can order books; it just isn't quite as informative or graphically appealing as the new page will be. Thanks for understanding! :-)
