About the Book Inkheart

Inkheart by Cornelia Funke is a mesmerizing fantasy novel centered on twelve-year-old Meggie Folchart and her father, Mortimer “Mo” Folchart, who possesses the unique ability to bring book characters to life by reading aloud. Their peaceful existence is shattered when a mysterious figure named Dustfinger arrives, warning them about a dangerous man named Capricorn who is pursuing Mo.

Forced to flee, Mo and Meggie seek refuge at Meggie’s great-aunt Elinor’s home, only to be captured by Capricorn’s henchmen. It is revealed that Mo’s reading inadvertently brought Capricorn and other characters out of a book called Inkheart years ago, and now Capricorn wants Mo to use his powers for his own nefarious purposes. Meggie also discovers that her mother vanished into the book during the same incident that brought Capricorn to life.

With the assistance of Dustfinger, who yearns to return to the world of Inkheart, and Elinor, Meggie and Mo embark on a dangerous quest to thwart Capricorn’s plans and rescue their loved ones. The novel delves into themes such as the power of storytelling, the bond between family members, and the battle between good and evil.

Meanwhile, this page is active so you can order books; it just isn't quite as informative or graphically appealing as the new page will be. Thanks for understanding! :-)
