About the Book Jeremy Thatcher Dragon Hatcher
Sixth-grader Jeremy Thatcher stumbles upon a mysterious magic shop while trying to escape some bullies. Inside, he discovers a strange, multicolored ball that the shop owner sells to him for just 25 cents, claiming that “it” wants him.
Jeremy soon realizes that the ball is actually a dragon’s egg, and he follows the peculiar instructions to hatch it. As the dragon, named Tiamat, grows, Jeremy faces the challenges and responsibilities of caring for a magical creature. Along the way, he learns valuable lessons about friendship, responsibility, and the bittersweet nature of letting go.
The novel is filled with humor, heart, and a touch of fantasy.
