About the Book Miss Nelson is Missing

Miss Nelson is Missing! is a delightful children’s book that tells the story of a sweet and kind teacher, Miss Nelson, who struggles to control her unruly class. The students take advantage of her gentle nature and misbehave constantly.

One day, Miss Nelson doesn’t show up to school, and the class is introduced to a strict substitute teacher named Miss Viola Swamp. Miss Swamp enforces strict rules and gives the students loads of homework, making them realize how much they miss Miss Nelson. The students search for Miss Nelson, but she remains missing. Eventually, Miss Nelson returns, and the students, having learned their lesson, appreciate her more and behave better in class.

The story ends with a humorous twist, hinting that Miss Nelson and Miss Swamp might be the same person in disguise.

It takes a long time to gather all the data for our new book page format with more useful descriptions, themes, and activity ideas. Meanwhile, this page is active so you can order books; it just isn't quite as informative or graphically appealing as the new page will be. Thanks for understanding! :-)
