About the Book The Boggart
The Boggart by Susan Cooper is a delightful blend of fantasy and adventure that follows the story of Emily and Jess Volnik, siblings who inherit an ancient Scottish castle from their distant relatives. Unbeknownst to them, the castle comes with an unexpected inhabitant—a mischievous, shape-shifting spirit called a Boggart.
When the Boggart accidentally gets transported to their home in Toronto, chaos ensues as the creature tries to adapt to the modern world. Emily and Jess must find a way to help the Boggart return to its rightful place, navigating through a series of humorous and magical events that highlight the bond between tradition and the present.
