Mario quickly takes a liking to Chester and decides to keep him as a pet. The cricket then meets two more significant characters—Tucker Mouse and Harry Cat, who become his loyal friends and companions.
Chester is not just any cricket; he has a special talent for playing beautiful music by rubbing his wings together. This unique ability soon catches the attention of everyone in Times Square, transforming Chester into an unexpected sensation and bringing prosperity to Mario’s family’s newsstand.
