About the Book The Little Prince

The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry is a timeless tale that blends whimsy with profound insights. The story begins with a pilot stranded in the Sahara Desert, where he meets a young boy, the Little Prince, who asks him to draw a sheep. As they become friends, the Little Prince shares his adventures and the lessons he has learned from traveling to various planets.

The Little Prince hails from a small asteroid, B-612, where he cares for a unique rose. Feeling lonely and seeking wisdom, he leaves his asteroid and visits several other planets, each inhabited by peculiar adults. These encounters highlight the often absurd and narrow-minded nature of grown-ups, contrasting with the Little Prince’s innocent and curious perspective.

On Earth, the Little Prince meets a fox who teaches him about love and relationships, emphasizing that “what is essential is invisible to the eye.” This revelation helps the Little Prince understand the importance of his rose and the bonds he has formed.

Throughout his journey, the Little Prince explores themes of loneliness, friendship, love, and loss. The narrative, though simple and enchanting, provides profound insights into human nature and emphasizes the importance of viewing the world through a child’s perspective.
