About the Book The Paper Bag Princess

The Paper Bag Princess by Robert Munsch turns traditional fairy tale roles on their head. The story follows Princess Elizabeth, who is set to marry Prince Ronald. However, when a dragon attacks, destroying her castle and clothes, and kidnaps Ronald, Elizabeth dons a paper bag—the only thing left unscathed—and sets off to rescue him. Using her wit and bravery, she outsmarts the dragon and frees Ronald, only to find him ungrateful and critical of her appearance. In a powerful twist, Elizabeth decides she deserves better and leaves Ronald behind, celebrating her independence and strength.

It takes a long time to gather all the data for our new book page format with more useful descriptions, themes, and activity ideas. Meanwhile, this page is active so you can order books; it just isn't quite as informative or graphically appealing as the new page will be. Thanks for understanding! :-)
