About the Book The Pigman's Legacy

The Pigman's Legacy picks up four months after the events of The Pigman. Lorraine and John are still struggling with the guilt and grief from the pigman’s death. Their lives take another unexpected turn when they come across an elderly man, Gus, who bears a striking resemblance to the late Mr. Pignati.

The teenagers soon learn that Gus is homeless and facing severe financial difficulties. Moved by his plight, they decide to help him, hoping to atone for their past mistakes. They take Gus to John's family's summer home, where they gradually uncover his tragic backstory. Meanwhile, Lorraine and John continue to wrestle with their own issues, including their rocky relationship and family troubles.

The story unfolds as a touching narrative about redemption, the human condition, and the enduring impact of kindness. Gus's presence forces the characters to confront their deepest fears and regrets, ultimately guiding them towards a path of healing and self-discovery.
