About the Book The Thief Lord

The Thief Lord by Cornelia Funke is an enchanting tale set in the atmospheric canals and alleyways of Venice. It follows the escapades of two orphaned brothers, Prosper and Bo, who flee to Venice to escape their aunt and uncle’s custody.

In Venice, they join a band of street children led by the enigmatic Thief Lord, a boy named Scipio who steals from the rich to support his makeshift family. The group’s adventures take a magical turn when they are hired to steal a wooden wing, which is part of a carousel with the power to turn children into adults and vice versa.

As the story unfolds, themes of loyalty, friendship, and the line between reality and fantasy are explored, all within the shadowy beauty of Venice.

Meanwhile, this page is active so you can order books; it just isn't quite as informative or graphically appealing as the new page will be. Thanks for understanding! :-)
